Julio has more than 30 years of experience in tax consulting for Brazilian and international organisations across a range of sectors. His areas of strength include tax planning, M&A and compliance.
He was a partner at KPMG and PwC, and Latin America tax director for Sealed Air Corporation (USA). For roughly four years he served as a director at PwC in New York. Julio has also held tax director roles at multinational companies including Sealed Air and Grupo Simpar.
Julio holds a law degree and postgraduate qualifications in accounting sciences and tax law, and is a member of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB).
He has lectured in tax law at IBET and in accounting at IBMEC.
In 2011, Julio was named the most admired tax practitioner in the import and export categories by Análise Advocacia 500. He is fluent in English.
